Building a Member-Led and Member-Centered Course Schedule
The Amigos Continuing Education schedule for April through June 2024 is now available, featuring a new commitment to making our work more member-led and member-centered. Starting in January, our continuing education has shifted to highlight some of the excellent work and leadership happening in member libraries and across our region. This has included presentations from Tracey Mendoza and Erin Cassity from the University of the Incarnate Word, Nancy Hu from Harris County Public Library, and upcoming sessions from Amanda Sprochi from the University of Missouri (Intermediate Cataloging: Subject Analysis) and Yuliana Aceves Nguyen from the University of Texas at Arlington (Know & Go: Serving K-12 in the Academic Library). As the April through June schedule unfolds, we are pleased to welcome back many of our favorite adjunct instructors and welcome experts from our member libraries and national leaders to help advance continuing education across the Amigos network. If you have ideas for how our work can be more member-led and member-centered – interest in teaching or sharing your expertise, suggestions for topics or courses – please reach out to learning@amigos.org.
