A Message from Amigos President & CEO Miguel Figueroa This month, we are looking forward to hosting out first online conference of this membership year, Examining the Library User Experience (October 16). This conference, free for all staff at our member libraries, includes experts from coast to coast – our opening keynote will feature Amy Martin, a former public librarian now working for San Francisco’s Digital and Data Services, and our closing keynote will feature Steven Bell, Associate University Librarian at Temple University Libraries in Philadelphia. Innovations from our own member libraries are featured in several concurrent sessions, including presenters from Arkansas Technical University, Irving Public Library, Metropolitan Library System, and Tulsa Community College.
Amigos supports organizational development and individual growth by providing learning opportunities and sharing essential changes in the profession. Award applications will be reviewed and awarded based on membership in Amigos, first-time attendees, and the submission date/time of the award application.
Amigos will grant three awards, each to a staff member from a different member library. Each award includes one complimentary registration to the 2025 ER&L Online Conference.
