A Message from Amigos President & CEO Miguel Figueroa Next week's Amigos Member Conference promises exciting opportunities for learning with leaders from Austin Public Library, Texas A&M University-Central Texas, Tulsa City-County Library, University of Missouri Libraries, and Yavapai County Free Library District. It is also a chance to learn more about Amigos’ current and upcoming work, including a review of our membership year at the Annual Member Business Meeting and sessions with our Continuing Education, Technology Solutions, and Trans-Amigos Express / Courier teams. We'll also celebrate the excellent member leadership that guides this work – welcoming the new members of the Board of Directors and recognizing the dedicated service of several members completing their terms on the Board.
Registration Closing May 10 for The Amigos Member Conference 2024 Beginning with the opening keynote, "Empowering Libraries: Strategies for Talent Development, Collection Enhancement, and Community Engagement," from Roosevelt Weeks, Director of Libraries at Austin Public Library, the LexisNexis sponsored Amigos Member Conference 2024 will also include the Annual Member Business Meeting and several concurrent sessions on a variety of topics.
This year's theme of "Leading. Partnering. Connecting" reflects how, across the Amigos network - and the wider profession - libraries and library professionals are leading, partnering, and connecting in new and innovative ways.
