Amigos Welcomes Naomi Gonzales as Library Services Trainer and Missouri Libraries 2 Go Coordinator Amigos Library Services is pleased to welcomeNaomi Gonzales as our Library Services Trainer and Missouri Libraries 2 Go Coordinator. Amigos’ Continuing Education Services team coordinates a full schedule of online workshops, free Know & Go sessions for member libraries, our popular Online Conferences, and customized on-request training for libraries and organizations.
Naomi brings over a decade's worth of experience working in academic and medical libraries, having worked for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine South Central Region (Houston Academy of Medicine), the University of Houston-Downtown, and in support of the National Library of Medicine. She is an experienced trainer in the areas of consumer and public health, technologies, and accessibility. She is actively involved in her community of Joplin, Missouri.

Invitation to Participate in DOAJ’s Community Consultation Amigos partner, DOAJ, a trusted directory dedicated to indexing high-quality Open Access journals, plays a pivotal role in the scholarly community. Libraries make extensive use of DOAJ as a source of trusted journals, integrating metadata into their discovery systems and open access services. Amigos partnership with DOAJ simplifies the process of library contributions for DOAJ and facilitates libraries providing financial support for DOAJ’s vital work.
DOAJ has commissioned Gold Leaf to consult with the community to ensure that the data collected by the service is relevant, necessary, and useful. All global stakeholders and users of DOAJ, regardless of location, are encouraged to participate in the survey. The survey will close on Friday, 6 May 2024.
